Counter surveillance equipment, commonly known as Bug Detectors, are intended to prevent someone from spying on you. The new technologies that created incredibly small cameras and microphones has also created a need for counter surveillance,  the ability to find out if someone is using this technology against you. But as great a creation as these better mousetraps, or rat traps are, they are hardly worth their transistors, unless they are used properly. The covert surveillance devices that you need to find are so small that they can be hidden almost anywhere. Therefore you will need to look everywhere.  To really get the best results from your bug detector you will need to slowly move it around the area under suspicion. These devices need to be close to the bug in order to detect it, so don’t breeze around the room so quickly that you might miss anything. You’ll waste your time and money and worst of all, you’ll risk your privacy. It’s very important to scan everywhere, under tables, behind pictures and anywhere else you could imagine a camera or mic could be hidden. Remember these bugs are so small now they can be hidden in places you may never expect. An alarm clock, a desk lamp or even a sprinkler head, to name just a few, could contain a bug.  If your privacy is important to you and you think a hidden camera might be watching you, or someone might be listening in, make sure you get a counter surveillance device. They are so small now you could carry one in your pocket.

Counter surveillance means exactly what it implies, countering the abillity to spy on you. Whether it’s a hidden camera or microphone that you might be concerned about, finding them is as realistic as obtaining them. Just take a look at these Hidden Cameras and you can see how easy it is to get them. You can also get the camera that’s hidden inside these things so that you can hide it where you want. If you think someone might be watching you or you’re having a conversation that you absolutely don’t want anyone else to hear, what you need is counter surveillance. The new technologies that let us have these incredibly small cameras have also let us have small, convenient, easy to take with you and easy to use RF (radio frequency) detectors that can find hidden cameras and microphones that are transmitting a signal. There is also a hidden camera detector that can help you spot a pinpoint lens whether or not it is transmitting. So now that this age of “small” technology, from computers to phones to recording equipment, to mention just a few, has brought us new methods of surveillance, it has also brought us counter surveillance,  the ability to find out if someone is using this technology against us. Whether you’re concerned about “bugs” in hotel rooms or even in your own home, a bug detector is now an affordable and practical counter surveillance device to own and take with you, anywhere you might need it.

There’s a new Hidden Camera Rental Program at lifelinesurveillance.com. They let you rent one of their hidden cameras, you don’t have to buy one if you only need it for a little while. These special hidden cameras aren’t cheap but they are worth the money to someone who needs it. So if you rent one and then realize you do need to keep it they’ll let you buy it and won’t even charge you for the rental. Sounds like a pretty good deal. Check out their Hidden Camera Rental Program, it’s pretty customer friendly.

Baby monitors are a real necessity even though they’re really not hidden cameras. At Lifeline surveillance.com they are listed with the hidden cameras because theirs is hidden in a stuffed dog. It looks a lot nicer than the  plastic baby monitors that you always see and it has audio and video so you can always know whats going on in the baby’s room.

An incredible new spy camera that looks like a car alarm remote. No one would ever know they’re being recorded. It’s like James Bond’s stuff isn’t so amazing anymore. I thought the Spy pen was really cool and the spy watch was crazy but this one’s even better. You can just hold it in your hand and everyone will think it’s just your car keys

A great new Camera is out that you can clip to your rear view mirror and record out of the windshield or even the back seat. Funny, the name of it is the rear view mirror camera, go figure. It’s not really a hidden camera, it’s a car camera, but you’ll find it at lifelinesurveillance.com under the hidden camera section. It comes with an extra wireless camera that you can point out the back window or mount on the outside of your car. I’ll bet a car service or taxi would love this one.

Surveillance can mean different things. Just watching something is surveillance but this is really about the high tech kind. There are some great surveillance systems available today.  A lot of them don’t even need wires and cables to be installed. Wireless signal to a DVR (digital video recorder) is a great convenience. There are cameras called network cameras  or IP cameras that can connect directly to a computer and record right onto the hard drive. Home owners love these.  The days of ugly, bulky surveillance cameras are gone, with tiny little dome cameras just a few inches wide, a store doesn’t have to look really bad to have a surveillance system. Theres even ways to hide them so customers don’t ever have to see them. What will technology bring next?

Some amazing little spy gadgets are real easy to get now. Telephone recorders, voice changers, hidden microphones, hidden cameras and lots more. I’ve even seen spy pen cameras and spy wristwatch cameras with internal mini DVRs that hook to a USB port. Myself, I thought the spy camera pen was the coolest. You can even get a little spy camera that you can hide your self. It’s so small you can hide it almost anywhere. These thing just keep getting smaller and smaller.

I’m sure many people use hidden cameras for all the wrong reasons.  But they can be a blessing in disguise too.  Many of us women today work, making it necessary to leave our children in the care of others. Can we really know how our children are being treated in our absence while in the care of others?  No, we can’t, or can we?  Using a hidden camera, or several hidden cameras concealed in everyday objects throughout the home, is truly the only way to assure your child’s safety and your piece of mind.  I know some of you out there may feel this is an objectionable tactic, I felt the same way, but you will be amazed at what goes on in your absence and truly, how else are you really going to know!  Hidden cameras a blessing in disguise, yes!
